​Selection Process

Selection will be made on the basis of Physical Efficiency Test, Written Examination and Interview. For category-5, written test will not be conducted; only PET, Trade Test and Interview will be held.

Application Form

Candidates can have application form from 30/04/2016 onward from the offices of all the District Superintendents of Police and Commandants of MLP Battalions and Principal, PTS Mawroh, Shillong at Rs.50.

Meghalaya Police Recruitment for Commandos / Constable & Others Posts 2016

Meghalaya Police invites applications in prescribed format for filling up 813 Commandos / Constable, Mechanics, Signal/Communication Operators, Drivers, Armourers and Buglers in Armed Branch for Special Forces-10 (SF-10). Candidates who meet eligibility criteria for the post can have prescribed application form from 30/03/2016 onward through offices of all District Superintendents of Police and Commandants of MLP Battalions and Principal, PTS Mawroh Shillong. For which, candidates will have to pay of Rs.50 in Cash.

Selection Process for Commandos/Constable, Drivers, Mechanics & Signal/Communication Staff

1. Physical Efficiency Test – 250 Marks
2. Written Test – 150 Marks
3. Interview – 50 Marks

Physical Efficiency Test

• Race (Male) – 10 KM to be completed in 50 Minutes.
• Race (Female) – 5.5 KM to be completed within 34 Minutes.

Written Examination

Only qualified candidates in PET will be called for Written Test. This test will be of 150 Marks based on Elementary and basic knowledge of English, Basic Arithmetic and Basic General Awareness. It will be OMR based examination.
