Notification-No.01/2013/JHS/WS: North Central Railway (NCR) has issued a notification for recruitment of Act Apprentices in Wagon Repair Workshop, Jhansi for the year 2013-14. Aspiring candidates who meet the eligibility for Act Apprentice in mentioned designated trades can apply in prescribed format as shown in the detailed notification. Note: Out of total vacancies, 3% posts are reserved for EXS and their children and children of Armed Force Personnel. 3% of seats are also reserved for PH Candidates.

Qualifications: Matriculation (10^th) or equivalent with 50% Marks and ITI Passed in concerned trades from ITI Institute affiliated to NCVT.

Age Limits: Completed 15 years and below 24 years as on 01/01/2014. Relaxation in age for SC / ST will be given upto 5 years and for OBC will be given upto 3 years. 10 years relaxation in age will be given to PH Candidates.

Stipend: Candidates will be provided stipend according to instructions issued by Railway Board.

Selection Process: A merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Class 10^th or equivalent for selection of Act Apprentice Post. There no interview or oral examination will be conducted for selection.

Training Period: Duration of the training for Crane Operator will be of two years and for rest of the trades will be of one year. Training will be held at Wagon Repair Workshop, Jhansi.

How to Apply: Application for Act Apprentice can be made in prescribed format which can be seen in the detailed notification. Along with filling up application, candidates are also required to fill up admit card attached with the application form. Paste passport size photograph attested by Gazetted Officer on the application form and Call Letter. Duly furnished application in every respect should be sent by ordinary post to the address of “Office of the Chief Workshop Manager, Wagon Repair Workshop, Recruitment Section (Personnel) branch North Central Railway, Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh)” on or before 27/12/2013. Application can also be dropped by person at the same address on all working days.
