For recruitment to the post of Teacher for Class 1 to 5th
and Class 6th to 8th, The Central Board of Secondary
Education, Delhi is going to conduct CTET 2014 on 16th Feb-2014 on Sunday.
Notification as well as Information Bulletin of this examination has been
published on CBSE official website. Aspiring candidates who meet the
eligibility criteria for this test can apply by filling up online application
by the closing date 31st October 2013 through the website http://cbse.nic.in.
CTET comprises two papers, and this year Paper-II will be held first in Morning
Session and Paper-I will be held in Evening Session. See the following lines.

CBSE CTET-2014 Schedule
- Date of Test: 16/02/2013
- Timing: Paper-II (9.30 AM to 12.00 PM) & Paper-I (2.00 PM to 04.30 PM)
- Duration: 2.30 Hours for each Paper
Eligibility for Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2014
- For Class 1 to 5th: Should be Passed Sr. Secondary or equivalent examination with 50% Marks as well as they should have passed or appeared in Final year of two year elementary education diploma.
- For Class 6th to 8th: Should have Bachelor’s Degree and Passed or appearing in Elementary Education Diploma of 02 years. OR Graduate Degree with 50% and Passed or appearing in B.Ed of 01 year.
- Visit Detailed Notification to know about other qualifications required for the test.
Exam Pattern: CTET will be objective type consisting of 150 MCQs and
will comprise of two different papers; paper-I will be conducted for Class 1 to
5th and paper-ii will be conducted for class 6th to 8th.
Candidates who want to be a teacher for both levels, they will have to appear

Note: Candidates applying
for Mathematics and Science Teacher are required to appear in (A) Mathematics & Science,
Teacher for Social Science are required to appear in (B) Social Science, For other teachers, they can appear in either
(A) or (B).

The test will be conducted in the language English or Hindi. Candidates
who obtain 60% marks in this test will be issued Eligibility Certificate. All
those candidates who appear in CTET will be issued Marks Statement. Visit detailed notification for Exam Syllabus of this test.
Admit Card: All eligible candidates whose applications are received by
CBSE can download Admit Card for this examination through the official website
from 09/01/2014. Candidates may immediately
contact CTET for necessary correction in case of any discrepancy in the admit
card.
Examination Fee: Rs.500 for
only one paper (either Paper-I or II) and Rs.800
for both Papers in case of UR / OBC Category, Rs.250 for one paper and Rs.400
for both papers in case of SC / ST / Differently Abled Person. Fee can be paid using
challan at Syndicate Bank or E-Post Office in favour of Secretary, Central
Board of Secondary Education, Delhi or using Debit / Credit Card.
How to Apply: CBSE is accepting online application for this examination
which can be made till 31/10/2013
through the website http://ctet.nic.in. The Process of
application will be completed in four steps, for which candidates need a valid
email id & mobile number, scanned photograph & signature. Fill up
application with proper details, upload photograph and signature, pay
examination fee through challan or using debit credit card and finally download
confirmation page and address slip. Now candidates are required to send
confirmation page with challan (if paid at Bank or Post Office) in an envelope
of 12*9 Size super scribed as “Application for CTET-FEB 2014” to “The Assistant Secretary (CTET) Central
Board of Secondary Education, PS 1-2, Institutional Area, I P Extension
Patparganj, Delhi – 110092” on or before 07/11/2013. It should be sent by Registered / Speed Post; it will
not be accepted if sent by courier.
