West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL), a
government of WB enterprise, responsible for power transmission throughout the
state, wants to recruit Office Executive, Stenographer, Junior Engineer,
Assistant Manager and other posts on different payments. For which, the company
has published two different notifications on its official website. In response

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject area with 50% Marks or
Any Graduate Degree with 50% at Higher Secondary Level, Certificate of Computer
Course & BCA for post at SL No.01,
Graduate Degree with 40% Marks with proficiency in English Language &
Computer Operation (MS Office) with shorthand speed of 80 WPM for post at SL No.02.
Note: Degree obtained from
any Private / Open University and Distance Learning Mode will not be accepted. Appearing
candidates of final year degree course who expect their result within
31/08/2013 are also eligible to apply for these posts.
Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as on 01/01/2013. Relaxation for SC/ST is 05
years and for OBC is 03 years in case of candidates of West Bengal.
Selection Process: Selection for both the posts will be made by
conducting Written Test, Computer Proficiency Test followed by Interview. These
tests will be held in Kolkata. Candidates will not be paid TA for appearing in these
tests.
Application Fees: Rs.250 for UR / OBC / EXS / Sportspersons / Exempted
Category / PH with Bank charge of Rs.22 extra. No fees for SC/ST candidates of
WB. Fee can be paid at any branch of United Bank of India between 21/08/2013 and 11/09/2013.

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications for posts at SL No. 01 to 05 is Bachelor’s degree in
any disciplines with MBA / PG / Member of Institute of Company Secretaries / CA
/ ICWA / respectably, 3 years full time diploma in engineering for posts at SL No.06, 07 & 08, Diploma in
Pharmacy for post at SL No.09, and Matriculation
with NCTVT Trade Certificate from ITI for post at SL No.10. Degree from Distance / Private / Open University will not be
considered.
Age Limit: Minimum age limit for all the positions is 18 years and
maximum is 27 years as on 01/01/2013. Candidates of West Bengal belonging to SC
/ ST category will be given relaxation upto 05 years and OBC category upto 03
years.
Selection Process: A Written examination and Interview will be
conducted in Kolkata for selection of eligible candidates on these posts. Candidates
will not be reimbursed TA for appearing in these examinations.
Application Fees: Rs.400 for posts at SL No.01 to 05 and Rs.250 for rest
of the posts for all candidates expect SC/ST of West Bengal. Candidates will
also have to pay of Rs.22 as bank charges with application fee which can be deposited
at any branch of United Bank of India between 21/08/2013 and 11/09/2013.
How to Apply: Online application for entire the above posts can be made
online through the website http://www.wbsetcl.in by the last date 09/09/2013. For this, you just need to
have scanned photograph & Signature, a valid email id, mobile number etc. Visit
said website, go to “Career” page, open
notification link, then open “Apply
online” link, fill up application format with proper details, upload photograph
and signature and submit. If you do not belong to SC/ST category of WB, a
challan wil be generated after submission of this application. You need to pay
appropriate application fee at designated bank and get Transaction ID & SOL
ID. Re-visit online application page, and this time open “Login here” link to submit payment details. After this, take a
print out of completed application form.
