JPSC 5th Combined Civil Service Exam 2013 for Various Jobs

Jharkhand Public Service Commission, in short JPSC, is going to conduct 5th Combined Civil Services Examination 2013 for recruitment of 236 posts in various cervices in Pay Scale of Rs.9300 to 34800. The Exam will be held in two parts; Preliminary Test (PT) and Mains. Both the exam will be conducted on different dates. Well, this notification is for Preliminary Test (PT). Aspiring candidates who fulfill eligibility criteria for exam can fill up online through www.jpsc.gov.in by 2nd August 2013.

Pay Scale: Rs.9300 to 34800 with Grade Pays of Rs.5400, Rs.4800 and Rs.4200

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in any disciplines or equivalent from any recognized University / Institute.

Age Limit: Minimum age limit is 20, 21 and 22 years for different services. Upper age limit for UR candidates is 35 years, for SC/ST is 40 years, for BC-II, BC-I is 37 years and for Female (UR/BC-II,BC-I) is 38 years. Age Limit will be reckoned as on 01/08/2009.

Number of Attempts: 4 attempts for UR (Male), 5 for BC-I, BC-II (Male), 6 for Female (UR/BC-I, BC-II) but there is no limit of attempts for SC/ST (Male / Female) Candidates.

Exam Pattern & Selection Process: JPSC 5th Combined Civil Service Preliminary Test will be of 100 Marks and Mains will be of 500 Marks. Candidates after qualifying in PT will be called for Mains and those who successfully qualified in Mains will be called for Personality Test which will be of 200 Marks. Selection for the job will be made on these bases.

Examination Fees: Rs.467.50 for UR / BC-, BC-II, Rs.267.50 for SC/ST candidates of Jharkhand. There is no examination fee for PH Candidates but they have to pay other charges like online application fee and bank charges. Fees can be paid through Challan at any branch of State Bank of India. The above fee includes online application charges. Challan for payment of fees can be downloaded from the website www.jpsc.gov.in.

How to Apply: Eligible and Aspiring candidates may fill up online application through the website www.jpsc.gov.in by 02/08/2013. After successfully submission of application, candidates are required to take a print out of system generated slip and sent it along with original Challan receipt to “Jhakhand Public Service Commission, Circular Road, Ranchi-864001” by Speed Post / Registered on or before 21/08/2013.
