Advt.No.01/CTU/2013: Chandigarh Administration, Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) has brought out a notification for recruitment to the post of Bus Conductors in pay band of Rs.5910-20200 + GP Rs.2400. Higher Secondary is the minimum qualification for this job. Out of total vacancies, 33% of vacancies are reserved for woman candidates. Selection for this job will be made through written examination. Bus Conductors
  • Vacancy: 246 Posts (UR-88, OBC-87, SC-32, EXS-31, PH-08)
  • Salary: Rs.9880 PM
  • Age Limit: Minimum age for bus conductor post is 18 years and maximum is 25 years. It will be reckoned as on as on 01/01/2013. Relaxation in age for SC/ST is 5 years for OBC is 3 years and for EXS/PH is 10 years.
  • Qualifications: H.S (10+2) passed from any recognized board. Candidates must have a valid conductor’s license.
Selection Process & Exam Pattern: Selection of deserving candidates on this post will be made by conducting a written examination. After online application, candidates will be short listed on the basis of class 12th examination and will be called for written examination in the ratio of 01:20 of total vacancies. Duration of the written test will be of 2 hours. The test will be based on Numeric Ability, GK & General Behavior, knowledge of traffic rule and First Aid. Written Test will not be conducted for Ex-Servicemen. Test may be organized in the last week of September 2013.

Application Fees: Rs.400 for UR / OBC and Rs.200 for SC/EXS candidates. Fees will be paid at any branch of State Bank of India using Challan. PH Candidates are exempted from payment of fees.

How to Apply: Candidates who fulfill all the eligibility criteria for the post may apply online through the website www.chdctu.gov.in from 25/07/2013 to 26/08/2013 till 5 PM. One candidate can not submit more than one application.
