University Grants Commission, popularly known as UGC, has
issued a notification for recruitment to the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC). Date for online application for this
post is over. So, those candidates who have applied against this notification
for LDC post must go through its exam pattern which is being described in the following

Written Test: The test will be objective type of 2 Hours
(120 minutes) but time duration of 2.20 Hours will be provided to Partial Blind
Candidates. Since this is objective type test consisting of multiple choice
questions, so candidates are required mark their answer with black ball point
pen only. Test papers will be set in English and Hindi except the test of English.
Questions will be of class 10th standard for all subjects. The test
carries negative marking i.e. 0.25 marks for each wrong answer will be deducted.

Skill Test: This is also known as Typing Test. Only those
candidates are eligible to appear in this test who successfully qualify in
written examination as per cut off criteria decided by University Grants
Commission. This test will be taken in English or Hindi as per the option
exercised by the candidates. They will have to possess typing speed of 30 WPM
in Hindi or English. A text passage will be given to the candidates, which they
have to type in maximum 10 minutes on computer.
