Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, in short TNPSC, has published a notification for the recruitment of Assistant Surgeon on temporarily basis. Selected candidates for this job will be put in pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 + GP Rs.5400. Candidates with M.B.B.S degree are eligible for this post. Selection for this post will be made through written examination and personal interview.   • Pay Band: 15600-39100 + GP Rs.5400
  • Age Limit: Applicant’s age should not be more than 35 years as on 01/07/2013. Relaxation for reserved category is applicable as per Govt. rule.
  • Qualification: M.B.B.S. degree from any recognized University or Institution recognized by the UGC. They must be registered as Medical Practitioner under Madras Medical Registration Act, 1914.
Selection Process: Main examination and oral test in the shape of interview will be conducted for the selection of eligible candidates. Main examination will be of 500 Marks comprised of two papers; Paper-I (300 Marks) and Paper-II (200 Marks). Oral test will be of 70 Marks. Only successful candidates from in examination will be called for interview. Final selection will be made on the basis of obtained marks in written test and interview.

Application Fees: Rs.175 for all candidates and Rs.50 for reserved candidates. Fees can be paid through both modes online and offline, online application fees can be paid through Net Banking or using Credit / Debit Card and offline payment can be made at Post Office / Indian Bank Branch.

How to Apply: Candidates having suitable qualification for the post may apply online thorough the website www.tnpsc.gov.in or www.tnpscexam.net from 21/06/2013 to 19/07/2013.
