About Board: Board of School Education Haryana was set in the year 1969 at Chandigarh and started working with 100 employees from Punjab University. Board conducted its first exam of Class 10th in the year 1970 and Middle Examination Was conducted from 1976. In January 1981, the head quarter of the board shifted to Bhiwani. 10+2 Pattern of Education was adopted by HBSE and it started conducting 12th examination from 1987 and 12th vocational exam from 1990. In the year 1994, the board also established Haryana Open School. Presently, the board is working with 650 Officials / Officer and examining and one million candidates appears in the examination which is conducted by HBSE.
