Notification-No.MPP/2013/08: West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL), a government of west Bengal enterprise with head office at Salt Lake City, Kolkata has invited application for recruitment to the post of Pharmacist, Nurse and ITI Trainee in the pay scale of Rs.6300 to 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2600 and Rs.3600 PM. Turnover of WBSEDCL is Rs.14000 Crore and employees in the company is around 17000. Age Limit: Minimum 18 years as maximum 27 years for post of Pharmacist & ITI Trainee and 30 years for post of Nurse. Relaxation in age for SC/ST is 5 years and for OBC (a) & OBC (b) is 03 years. It will be applicable only for candidates of West Bengal. Age will be calculated as on 01/01/2013.  

Selection Process: A written examination and interview will be conducted for selection of these posts. They will not be reimbursed travelling fare for appearing in the written test. Interview will be conducted in Kolkata. The test will be based on GK, Current Affairs, Reasoning, General English, Arithmetic and test of knowledge in the respective professional subjects. Admit Card for the written test can be downloaded 12/12/2013.

Examination Fees: Rs.150 for PH Candidates and Rs.250 for all other candidates but there is no fees for SC/ST Category. Fees can be paid at any branch of United Bank of India through CHALLAN generated after online registration till 20/11/2013. Other mode of payment will not be accepted.  

How to Apply: Online application can be filled up from 29/10/2013 to 20/11/2013, Log on to the official website www.wbsedcl.in, go to “Career@WBSEDCL”. Open apply online link, fill up application form with basic details, pay examination fees at designated bank through challan generated after online registration. Re-visit the same website, enter Challan Details provided by the bank and complete registration. After final submission, take a hard copy of the application and send it with Candidate’s copy of Challan and copies of requisite documents attested by Gazetted Officer by post to “The Advertiser, Post Bag No.781, Circus Avenue Post Office, Kolkata – 700017” on or before 30/11/2013.
