About Board: Jharkhand Academic Council has been set up for conducting Secondary, Intermediate, Sanskrit and madarsa examination and prescribing courses of study for this examination. Initially, the office of the board was set up in rented house in Rameshwaram. An act to establish the JAC was enacted by Jharkhand State Legislature that was known as Jharkhand academic council Act 02.7.2003. It was constituted by HRD Department Govt. of Jharkhand vide notification No.2/1-72/06 E.d.n 90 dated 07-06-2007.
