Entrance Examination for Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
programme January, 2014 Session will be conducted by Indira Gandhi National
Open University (IGNOU) on 18/08/2013.
This course is recognized by NCTE. Minimum duration of this programme is 02
years. However, you can complete this course in maximum duration of four years.
Medium of Instruction of the course will be Hindi and English. Last date for
submitting of application form at concerned regional centre is 15/07/2013 with fees of Rs.1000
including registration fees at counter and Rs.1050 by post. More details can be
seen below.
Eligibility: Graduate Degree or PG Degree with 50% Marks
with full time teaching experience of two years as Primary / Graduate / PG
Teacher in Primary, Secondary / Higher / Sr. Secondary School on permanent /
temporary basis with registration number. Relaxation in Marks for SC/ST/OBC
(Non-Creamy Layer) will be applicable as per central govt. rule. 5% marks will
be relaxed for SC/ST/Kashmiri Migrant as well as other reserved categories (if
any).
Entrance Exam Pattern: The Test comprises two parts; Part-A
of 80 Marks and Part-B of 20 Marks. Total questions will be 100 and each
question carries one marks i.e. total 100 Marks. Time duration for this test is

Admission: Admission to B.Ed Programme will be done on the
basis of obtained marks in Entrance Test organized by IGNOU all over India.
Original documents are required to be submitted after receiving offer letter for
admission from regional centre after entrance test.
Hall Ticket for Entrance Test: Entrance test is going to be
held on 18/08/2013. Hall ticket for
this test will be issued to the candidate before 10 days from the date of test.
Those candidates do not receive hall ticket 03 days before can download the
same from IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in.
Fees: Rs.1000 (including registration fees) at counter and
Rs.1050 by post.
How to Apply: Aspiring candidates can apply for IGNOU B.Ed entrance
test in prescribed application form and submit application at concerned
regional centre by 15/07/2013.
