A notification for recruitment to the post of Forest Guard on contract basis is issued by Himachal Pradesh Forest Department. Application for this can be made in prescribed format or can be sent through mail. Recruitment for this post will be done on various cities of the state of HP. Application can be made from 20/03/2013 and will be continued upto 16/04/2013 till 5 PM. Aspirants can submit their application for any forest circle of their choice. Choice of the Circle can not be change for first 10 years of their service. Last date of receipt of application for candidates residing in far-flung area is 24/04/2013 till 5 PM.

Forest Guard Jobs in Himachal Pradesh

Eligibility Criteria, Pay Scale and Other Details

• Indian Citizens who are bonafide Himachali may apply for this post. They must have passed Class 10^th Examination from a recognized board. Name of the candidates should be registered in Employment Exchange in Himachal Pradesh.
• Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as on 01/01/2013. Relaxation for reserved category such as SC/ST/OBC will be given upto 5 years.
• Physical Standard: For Male: Heigh-165 cms, Chest-79 cms (84 with Expansion). For Female: Height: 150 cms, Chest: 74 cms (79 with Expansion).

Selection Process: First of all, eligible candidates will be called for Physical Standard Test; if they successfully complete this test will have to appear in Physical Efficiency Test of 25 Marks which comprises 800 Miters Race in 2.45 Minutes, High Jump-1.25 Miters, Long Jump-4 Miters for Male. 400 Miters Race in 2.15 Minutes, High Jump-70 cm, Long Jump-2 Miters for Female. After successfully completion of this, they will be called for Written Test of 60 Marks and then Personality Test of 15 Marks.

How to apply: You can submit your complete application on prescribed format directly in the office of Conservator of Forest Concerned between 10 AM and 5 PM on all working days or you can send application by post from 20/03/2013 to 16/04/2013. If you belong to Far-flung area, your application must reach the office on or before 23/04/2013.
