SSC Notification: Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) Examination 2015, Selection Process, Exam Pattern

SSC JE (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, QS&C) Examination 2015: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to hold a combined all India open examination on 06/12/2015 for recruitment of 1000 Junior Engineer in the Disciplines of Mechanical, Civil and Electrical, Quantity Surveying and Contract for various departments. Selection of eligible candidates will be done through Written Examination followed by interview. Only qualified candidates in written examination will be called for interview. Qualifications for Junior Engineer in following Disciplines & Departments

1. JE (Civil), CPWD: Civil Engineering Diploma from a Recognized Institute.
2.  JE (Electrical), CPWD: Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
3. JE (Civil), Dept. of Posts: Civil Engineering Diploma of 03 years.
4. JE (Electrical) Department of Posts: Electrical Engineering Diploma of 03 years from a recognized Institute.
5. (a). JE (Civil) MES: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Institute or  3 years Diploma in Civil Engg. with 2 years experience in planning, execution and maintenance of civil engineering works. (b). JE (Electrical & Mechanical), MES: Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Degree OR 03 years Engineering Diploma in relevant disciplines with two years experience. (c). JE (QS&C), MES: Diploma of 3 years in Civil Engineering OR  Qualified in Intermediate Exam in Building and Quantity Surveying Sub Div.II of Institute of Surveyors (India).
6. JE (Civil and Mechanical), Central Water Commission: Civil / Mechanical Engineering Degree / Diploma from a recognized institute.

Age Limit: 18 to 27 years for (Civil & Electrical) Department of Posts. and Surveying and Contract). Not above 32 years for Civil, Electrical in CPWD, maximum 32 years for Civil & Mechanical in Central Water Commission, Not above 30 years for Civil / Electrical / Mechanical in MES. Relaxation in age for reserved category will be applicable as per rule i.e. 5 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC Categories. Age and age with relaxation will be calculated as on 01/08/2015.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern: Selection for this post will be made trough written examination of 500 Marks and Interview of 100 Marks. Written Test includes two papers. Paper-I of 200 marks will be Objective Type and Paper-II of 300 Marks will be Conventional Type. Have a look

Candidates are required to attempt only one subject of General Engineering in Paper-I and Paper-II. There will be negative marking in Paper-I and 0.25 Mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Those who qualify in written examination will be called for Interview which will be of 100 Marks. Candidates belonging SC/ST Category will be paid TA for appearing in the interview.

Application Fees: Applicants are required to pay application fees of Rs.100 through SBI Challan or through Net Banking. Candidates belonging to SC / ST / EXS / PH category and all women candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
