WBCSC Recruitment for Assistant Professor and Librarian: West Bengal

WBCSC Recruitment for Assistant Professor and Librarian Jan-2013: 1546 Posts - West Bengal College Service Commission, in short, WBCSC is going to recruit Assistant Professor and Librarian in Pay Scale of Rs.15600 to 39100 + Rs.6000 GP. So, applications for this has been invited from Eligible Indian Nationals. Total Number of Vacancies are 1546, out of which 1455 posts are for Assistant Professor in different Subjects for various Government-aided colleges and 91 Posts are for Librarian in above said Colleges in West Bengal. Only those candidates are eligible to apply for these posts who posses required qualifications with NET/SET/SLET Qualifications. Age of the candidates should not be more than 37 years as on 01/01/2012. Details of Posts with Number of Vacancies and Qualifications

01. Assistant Professor (in Various Disciplines)

• Vacancies: 1455 Posts: 1435 for General Degree Colleges and 20 for B.Ed/B.Ed Department of Colleges

02. Librarian

• Vacancies: 91 Posts
• Qualifications: PG Degree in Documentation Science / Library Science / Information Science or equivalent with 55% Marks from a recognized university. Qualified in Library Science at NET or other test like SET/SLET organized by UGC.

Age Limit: Upper age limit for both the posts is 37 years as on 01/01/2012. Candidates belonging to reserved category will be given relaxation in age as per rule. 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

Pay Scale: Rs.15600 to 39100 + Rs.6000 GP

Application Fees: Rs.550 for SC/ST/PH/VH/OBC Category and Rs.1050 for General Category. It can be paid till 25/01/2013 through Challan generated after online application

How to apply: Online application for these posts can be made through the website www.examinationonline.in/wbcscportal by the last date 21/01/2013. For this, candidates must have a valid email id, Mobile Number, scanned photograph and signature. Open the online application link by visiting the said website, fill up online application form with proper details and submit. After submission of this, an unique Registration No. and Password will be generated by the system. Note down and login with the same ID and Password by visiting the said website and upload photograph and signature. Now candidates take a copy of Challan for payment of application fees after two working days at any branch of UBI. After three working days from payment of fees, candidates can see Payment Status on the same website by login with same ID and Password. Now take a copy of complete online application and send it with self attested copies of supporting documents to “ Commission’s Office at 6, Bhawani Dutta Lane, Kolkata-700073” on or before 06/02/2013 till 4 PM.
