CMRL Chennai Jobs: Junior Engineer, Technician, Station
Controller, Train Operator Jan-2013: 791 Posts – A notification for
recruitment of various posts has been issued by Chennai Metro Rail Limited with
Corporation Office Chennai. This is the Joint Venture of Govt. of Indian and
Govt. of Tamilnadu. Applications has been invited from eligible Indian
nationals for recruitment of these posts. Total Number of Vacancies available
in CMRL are 791 for different categories. There are different Process of
selection for different posts but online test is common for all the posts.
Selected candidates will have to execute a bond of Rs.100000 to serve CMRL for
a period upto 03 years. They will be put on probation for a period of 02 years.

Note: Out of 244 Posts in SL No. 01, 60 Posts are for
Station Controller, 87 for Train Operator and 97 for Jr. Engineer (Station).
SL No. 01: Station Controller / Train Operator / Jr.
Engineer (Stations):-
- Qualification: Three years Diploma with 1st Class or equivalent with 60% Marks in EEE, ECE from a government recognized institute
- Age: Not more than 28 years
SL No. 02: Junior Engineer:-
- Qualifications: 1st Class Diploma of 03 years with 60% or equivalent in relevant disciplines from a government recognized institute
- Age: Not more than 28 years
SL No. 03: Technician:-
- Qualifications:
SSLC with ITI in specific Trade with 55% Marks from a government
recognized institute
- Age:
Not above 28 years
Selection Process: Selection for the posts will be
made through online test. The Process of selection for post at SL No. 01
comprise four states i.e. Online Test, Psychometric Test, Proficiency in Tamil
and Medical Examination. Selection for post at SL No. 02 & 03 will be made
through Online Test, Proficiency in Tamil and Medical Test. Online test will comprise
of multiple choice questions. It will be held at Chennai in the Month of
March/April 2013
Application Fees: Rs.100 for SC/ST Category and
Rs.500 for General and other category in including ex-serviceman. Fess can be
paid in the shape of Demand Draft in favour of M/s Chennai Metro Rail Limited,
Payable at Chennai.
How to Apply: Candidates meeting the eligibility
criteria for the post may apply online through the website www.chennaimetrorail.gov.in
by the last date 16/02/2013. No any other mode of application is available for
these posts. Candidates must have a valid email id and mobile number. After successfully
submission of online application, candidates need to take a print of application and send it with demand draft and
self attested copies of requisite documents to “Manager (HR), Chennai Metro
Rail Limited, “Harini Towers”, No.7, Conran Smith Road, Gopalpuram,
Chennai-600086” on or before 20/02/2013. Candidates must write their
name, online application number and mobile number on the back side of demand
draft.
Important Notes:
- Selected
candidates for the job will be put on probation for a period of 2 years.
- Pay
& Emoluments will be as per Pay Scale under IDA. It also includes HRA,
Medical Benefit, EPF, Gratuity, Insurance as well as other allowance
- Candidates
will not be paid TA/DA for appearing in ONLINE Test
