UPSC NDA and NA Exam Syllabus 2013

UPSC NDA and NA Exam Syllabus 2013: UPSC is going to conduct NDA and NA Examination for the admission to Navy, Army and Air Force wing of National Defence Academy for 131st Course and 93rd INAC Course on 14/04/2013. Online Application for this has been started and will be continued upto 21/01/2013. Aspiring candidates, who have applied for this examination or going to apply, must go through the scheme of examination as well as Exam Syllabus. Details about Exam Pattern and Exam Syllabus are being provided in the following paragraphs. The Test which is going to be held on 14th of March 2013 will be an objective type test. Time duration of 2 ½ Hours for Mathematics Subject  2 ½ for General Ability Test has been allotted for this test.

Exam Syllabus for NDA & NA Examination
01. Paper-I (Mathematics): 300 Marks
  • Algebra
  • Matrices and Determinants
  • Trigonometry
  • Analytical Geometry of Two and Three Dimension
  • Differential Calculus
  • Integral Calculus and Differential Equations
  • Vector Algebra
  • Statistics and Probability

02. Paper-II (General Ability Test): 600 Marks
(i) Part-A (English) – 200 Marks
(ii) Part-B (General Knowledge) – 400 Marks
  • Section-A (Physics)
  • Section-B (Chemistry)
  • Section-C (General Science)
  • Section-D (History, Freedom movement etc.)
  • Section-E (Geography)
  • Section-F (Current Events)

Note: Each Section of Part-B (General Knowledge) carry 25%, 15%, 10%, 20%, 20% and 10% respectively of Total Marks stipulated for Part-B. Along with Interview, candidates will also have to face Intelligence Test which will be combination of Verbal an Non-Verbal. This test will be taken to gauge candidate’s intelligence. They will also be put to Group Discussion to check their calibre.
