SMG Bank Officer Scale-I, II & Office Assistant Recruitment 2013

A notification for recruitment of Officer Scale-I & Scale-II and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) has been issued by South Malabar Gramin Bank (SMGB). For which, applications have been invited from all eligible candidates who have qualified in CWE-RRB organized by IBPS held in Sep 2012. Such candidates may fill up online application for suitable post from 11/07/2013 to 27/07/2013 through the website www.smgbank.com. Last date for payment of application fees is also 27/07/2013. Total number of posts are 256, 90 for Officers & 100 for Office Assistant post. Scale of Pay for all the posts are different which can be seen in the upcoming paragraphs. Selection for the post will be done on the basis of obtained marks in CWE and personal interview. Selected candidates for the job will be on probation for a period of 02 years in case of  Officer Scale-I & II and 01 years in case of Office Assistant. 01. Officer Scale-II (Managers)

• Vacancies: 05 Posts (SC-01, ST-01, OBC-01, UR-02)
• Pay Scale: Rs.19400 to 28100 (Approximately Rs.36900 PM)
• Age: Above 21years but less than 32 years
• Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 50% marks with 02 years experience as an officer in Bank or Financial Institute.
• Probation Period: 02 years

02. Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager):

• Vacancies: 85 Posts (SC-12, ST-11, OBC-22, UR-40)
• Pay Scale: Rs.14500 to 25700 (Approximately Rs.27600 PM)
• Age: More than 18 and Less than 28 years
• Qualifications: Graduate degree in any subject area with proficiency in local language.
• Probation Period: 02 years

03. Office Assistant (Multipurpose):

• Vacancies: 166 Posts (SC-16, ST-03, ST-48, UR-99)
• Pay Scale: Rs.7200 to 19300 (Approximately Rs.15200 PM)
• Age: From 18 to 28 years
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in any disciplines from a recognized university with proficiency in local language.
• Probation Period: 01 year

Age Relaxation: Candidates belonging to SC/ST Categories will be relaxed in age upto 5 years and 3 years in case of OBC Candidates. Age limit will be reckoned as on 01/06/2012.

Fees: Rs.20 for SC/ST/PWD Category and Rs.100 for all other Category for both posts. Ex-Servicemen are required to of Rs.100 for Officers post and Rs.20 for Office Assistant post. Fees can be paid at any CBS branch of SMGB or Canara Bank through respective Challan between 11/07/2013 and 27/07/2013.

You just need to pay appropriate application fees to any branch of Canara Bank or South Malabar Gramin Bank through respective challan form and get payment details. If you have done all these, log on to the above said website, go to “Recruitment/Career” Page, login with correct ID and Password, fill up online application form with required details, enter payment details and submit. After successfully submission of this, you can take a copy of application print out for producing at the time of interview (if called) with original challan.
