A notification for the recruitment of following posts has been issued by WBSSC. Selection for these jobs will be through an Open Competitive Examination.

Details of Posts with No. of Vacancies, Pay Scale and Qualifications
01. Veterinary Pharmacist / Pharmacist-Cum-Dresser
  • Vacancies: – 218
  • Pay Scale: – Rs.7100-37600 + GP Rs.3200
  • Qualification: – Class 12th passed with Biology from WBCHSE and two years diploma course in Veterinary Pharmacy under Board of Veterinary Education.
02. Livestock Development Assistant
  • Vacancies: – 139
  • Pay Scale: – Rs.5400-25200 + GP Rs.2600
  • Qualification: – Class 10th passed from West Bengal of Secondary Education or equivalent and knowledge in Bengali or Nepali.
03. Surveyor
  • Vacancies: – 02
  • Pay Scale: – Rs.7100-37600 + GP Rs.3600
  • Qualification: – Class 10th passed from WBBSE or equivalent and one year course of Prani Sampad Bikash Prashikshan from Board of Veterinary Education.

Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 40 years as on 01/01/2012. There is 5 year relaxation for SC/ST and 3 year relaxation for OBC candidates.

Selection Process: Selection of the candidates for these Jobs will be made on the basic performance in Open Competitive Examination, ARD-LR Examination-2012, Examination code No. 01/D/2012).

Application Fees: Rs.200 No fees for SC/ST candidates. PHD candidates of 40% and above have to pay Rs.120. Fees can be paid online or can be deposited at Post Office

How to Apply: Mode of application for these jobs is Online & Offline both. Online application can be filled up through the website www.wbssc.gov.in. In Case of Offline application, candidates need to send duly filled application in every respect with copies of all essential documents along with Payment Receipt by post to the “Secretary, WBSSC, Mayukh Bhaban, Salt Lake, Kolkata – 700091” on or before 17/10/2012.
