After declaration of Result of Preliminary Test organized by BPSC for Recruitment of District Statistical Officer / Assistant Director, commission has again notified for its Main Examination (Mains). Total Numbers of Candidate qualified in PT are 272, out of which UR-141, SC-60, OBC-41, BC-15, BC (Female)-10, PH-5. So, Applications have been invited from all above qualified Candidates for Mains. If you have checked your result and found yourself qualified in the Test, you are required to apply for Mains on or before 28/11/2012 till 5 PM. Information regarding date and time for Main Examination will be given in another notice. Exam Pattern for Mains:
The Mains will be conducted for 04 Subjects, out of which, Two Subjects “General Hindi” of 100 Marks and “General Study” (Two Papers) of 200 Marks for each, will be compulsory. Besides these, there are several optional subjects and candidates are required to appear for two optional subjects, out of which, one of subject “Statistical” or “Mathematic” or “Economics” is compulsory. Each Optional subject will have two Papers and each paper carries 200 Marks. Subject Code of General Hindi is 01, General Study is 02. To know the Codes of Optional Subjects, you need to open Detailed Notification for which a link has been pasted at the bottom.

Note: Candidates can not opt for “Mathematics” and “Statistical” Subject together as Optional Subject

Application Fees: Rs.125 for SC/ST of Bihar State and Rs.300 for all other candidates

How to apply: Firstly, you need to pay appropriate fees at any branch of State Bank of India through Challan from. Now download application form from commission website, fill it up with required details, stick two photographs on it to the appropriate space and put your signature in Hindi & English in the box provided below each photograph. A Complete application with original copy of Challan in a Super Scribed Envelope as “District Statistical Officer / Assistant Director (Main) Competitive Examination (Advt. No.13/2010)” must reach “The Controller of Examination, Bihar Public Service Commission, 15 Jawaharlal Nehru Marg (Belly Road), Patna-800001” by 28/11/2012.
