SSC Recruitment of Junior Translator (CSOLs) 2013: Selection Process, Exam Pattern

A Recruitment Proclamation has been issued by SSC for recruitment to the post of Junior Translator in (CSOLs). For which, a written test known as “Junior Translators in (CSOLs) Examination 2013” is going to be conducted by Staff Selection Commission. Selection of suitable candidates on this position will be done on basis of written examination and interview. Eligible aspirants may apply for the job in prescribed format and send application at the concerned address of commission on or before 30th Aug 2013.

Pay Band: Rs.9300-34800 + GP Rs.4200

Qualifications: Master’s Degree or equivalent in Hindi or English with English or Hindi from a recognized university with diploma in translation from English to Hindi and vice-versa.

Age Limit: Maximum age should be 30 years as on 01/08/2013. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC, 5 years for SC / ST / EXS and 10 years relaxation for PH candidates as per rule.

Selection Process: Selection of eligible candidates for this Post will be done through written examination followed by interview. Eligible candidates will be short listed for interview on the basis of marks obtained in written examination. Only qualified candidates in written test and interview will be considered for the appointment. The Post carry AISL, it means, candidates may be posted anywhere in the country.

Exam Pattern: Scheme of examination comprises two parts; Part-I Written Test of 400 Marks and Interview of 100 Marks. Written test includes two papers; Paper-I (Objective Type) will be of 100 Marks consisting of 100 MCQ based on General Hindi & General English and Paper-II (Conventional Type) will be of 200 Marks based on translation and essay. Time duration for each paper will be 2 Hours.

Application Fees: Rs.100 for UR / OBC. No fees for SC / ST / PH / EXS and all women candidates. Payment of fee can be made in the shape of CRFS which should be got cancelled.

How to apply: Candidates should apply in prescribed format which can be downloaded through its official website. Fill up application with required details, affix CRFS to the space provide in the form and send it to the concern regional office on or before 30/08/2013 till 5 PM. Last date for application for Far-flung area’s candidates is 06/09/2013. More than one application will not be accepted.
