Employment-Notice-No.RRC/WR/02/2013:
An employment notification for filling up a large number of Group-D Vacancies in Pay Band-I for Divisions and Workshops of Western Railway has been issued by
RRC WR Mumbai. Recruitment Process comprises written test and physical
efficiency test. Aspiring candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the
job may apply for the post in prescribed format. Duly furnished application in
every respect must reach the address of railway recruitment cell as mentioned
below by closing date 14th Jan-2014. Have a look on the details of

Note: Out of total
vacancies, 3% (i.e. 173 posts) are reserved for PWD and 20% (i.e. 1154 Posts)
are reserved for Ex-Servicemen. The above mentioned vacancies are provisional;
it may be increased or decreased.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 + GP Rs.1800
Age Limit: 18 years to 33 years as on 01/01/2014. There is 5 years
relaxation for SC / ST and 3 years relaxation for OBC candidates as per rule. See
the detailed notification to know special relaxations of age limit. Birth
Certificate issued by Appropriate Authority / Matric Certificate / Mark Sheet /
School Leaving / Transfer Certificate issued by Schools / College will be
accepted as proof of age.
Qualification: Class 10th pass or ITI or equivalent qualification from
a recognized Board / Educational Institute. Those candidates may also apply for
the post who are having higher educational qualification.
Selection Process: Selection of Eligible candidates by RRC Western
Railway for Group-D Jobs will be done through written test and PET. Short
listed candidates after written Test and Physical Efficiency Test will be
called for documents verification and thereafter for medical examination. To
qualify in PET, Male candidates will have to run 1000 Meters in 4 Minutes and
15 Second and Female candidates will have to run 400 Meters in 3 Minutes and 10
Second. Both Male and Female Candidates will be given only one chance for this.
Application Fees: A crossed IPO Rs.100 in favour of “Assistant
Personnel Officer (Recruitment), RRC-WR, payable at Mumbai, must be accompanied
with the application. Candidates should write their Name and address on the
back side of IPO. There is no fee for reserved candidates (such as SC / ST /
EXS / PWD / Women / Economically Backward Class / Minority Communities) as per
govt. rule.
How to Apply: Download Application Form from the website www.rrc-wr.com,
fill up with proper details, Paste a colour Passport size photograph, put your
signature, provide left hand thumb impression on the form and send it with
copies of all essential documents by ordinary post to “Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, Western
Railway, Parcel Depot, Alibhai Premji Marg, Grant Road (East), Mumbai – 400007”
on or before 14/01/2014 till 5 PM. Application
form can also be submitted by person by going to the same address. Candidates
from far-flung area should submit their application by 29/01/2014
