BSF Exam Pattern ASI, Head Constable Test 2013 Selection Process

Selection for the post of ASI (RM), HC (RO) & HC (Fitter) will be done by conducting a Written Test on 24th November 2013 and thereafter PST, PET, Documentation, Dictation, Interview and Final Medical Test on 23rd December 2013. So, those candidates who have applied against this notification for above said posts and going to appear for written test, must have a look on its exam pattern. In following lines, i am going to discuss about exam pattern, PST, PET, Medical Test as well as other details. Have a look

Written Examination: Written Test will be held on 24/11/2013 at selection centre. The Test will be objective type of 3 Hours. The Test comprises four parts which carry total marks of 200. Questions in Part-I, II & III will be of 12th Standard of CBSC / State Board of Education and Part-IV will be based on Current Affairs, Geography, History and General Science. Note: Questions Papers of the test will be printed in Hindi & English both language for each post. Minimum qualifying marks in test is 38% for UR & OBC and 33% for SC & ST. Ten times candidates to the number of vacancies, after qualifying in written examination, will be called for 2nd Phase that comprises PST, PET, Dictation Test, Interview and medical test which will be organized on 23/12/2013.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Race: 1.6 KM race in 6.5 Minutes for Male and 800 Meters to be completed in 4 Minutes for Female candidates. Long Jump: 11 Feet (3 Chances) for Male and 9 Fee (3 chances) for Female. High Jump: 3 ½ Feet (3 chances) for Male and 3 Feet (3 chances) for Female. Ex-servicemen & department candidates are free from this test.

Dictation Test (for HC-RO) will be of 10 Marks and Personal Interview will be of 25 Marks. Final Medical Examination will be taken by BSF medical officer. There is a provision of re-medical test, if any candidate declared as un-fit in this test, can apply for re-medical test within 15 days. The fee for re-medical examination will be of Rs.50 which should be in the name of "DDO, FHQ BSF New Delhi", Payable at New Delhi.
