About WBBSE: West Bengal Board of Secondary Education was set up in the year 1951 under West Bengal Secondary Education Act of 1950. The board, before it was twofold, works to control, regulate and develop secondary education of the state as well as conducts school final examination. Previously, all these works were done by Calcutta University. Name of the Board was renamed as West Bengal Board of Secondary Education in the year 1964.
