Coal India Limited, also known as CIL, the Worlds’ largest Coal Miner, is going to conduct a written examination, which also known as all India selection test, for the selection of eligible candidates on the post of Management Trainee (MT). The Written Test will be held on 8th June, 2014 on Sunday. Coal India Limited (CIL) has set an exam pattern for this written examination for the post of Management Trainee. So, here we are going to discuss about the same exam pattern prepared by Coal India Limited (CIL) for the post of MT as well Selection Process of this recruitment.

Selection Process: Selection of eligible candidates on the post of Management Trainee will be done on the basis of obtained marks in written test and performance in interview. After qualifying in written test, candidates will be invited for interview in the ratio of 1:3, i.e. (03 candidates will be called against 01 vacancy) considering the category wise vacancy for SC / ST / OBC / PH. Coal Indian also reserve the right to short list the candidates for written examination

Exam Pattern: Written Test for the post of Management Trainee in Coal India Limited (CIL) will be comprised of 02 Papers and both the Papers will consist of Multiple Choice Questions. Paper-I will be based on General Awareness and Aptitude Test and Paper-II will be based on Technical Aptitude in the relevant disciplines. There will be 100 Multiple Choice Questions in each Paper carrying 100 marks, which will be set in English and Hindi. Let’s see the following.

Important Notes:
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks in this written examination for General Category is 40 marks, for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) is 35 Marks and for ST/ST/PH is 30 Marks in each Paper
  • Papers of written test will be set in Hindi and English both
  • Qualified candidates in this written test will be called for personal interview in the ratio of 1:3 (i.e. 03 candidates will be called against  01 vacancy)
  • The Test will be organized on 08/06/2014 (on Sunday) at various Centres in all over the country
