PO Jobs in Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) 2013 through Banking Diploma Course

Online application has been issued by Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) for the recruitment to the post Probationary Officer (PO) in JMG Scale-I in through PG Diploma Course in Banking and Finance. This Course will be 01 year and will be provided by Indian Overseas Bank Manipal School of Banking, in short, IOBMSB. An online examination will be conducted by the bank to get admission to this course. Eligible aspirants with suitable qualifications may apply online through the website www.iob.in by the last date 29/07/2013. The Process of Recruitment can be seen in one of following paragraphs.

Probationary Officer (PO) in JMG Scale-I
  • Vacancy: 480 Posts (UR-243, OBC-129, SC-72 and ST-36)
  • Pay Scale: Rs.14500 - 25700
  • Age Limit: Minimum age is 20 years and maximum age limit is 28 years as on 01/09/2013. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor degree with 60% (55% for SC/ST/PC category) from a recognized University / Institute.
Recruitment Process: The Process of Recruitment comprises an online examination of 200 Marks, Personal Interview and then 01 year PG Diploma Course in Banking and Finance. This course is being offered by IOB Manipal School of Banking. Candidates securing sufficiently high marks in online test will be called for interview.

Course Details: On the basis of online examination and interview, a merit list will be prepared. Whose name appears in the merit list will be eligible for admission to one year PGDBF. The Course fee would be Rs.3.30 Lakhs which includes Course Fee, Lodging, Boarding as well as other fees. Service Tax will be extra. Those candidates who can’t afford such as huge amount can fiancé Course Fee by getting Educational Loan under IOB Vydya Jyoti Educational Loan Scheme. Details on this can be found on bank’s website.

Stipend During Training: Rs.2500 PM during training period of 09 months and Rs.10000 during internship period of 03 months.

Probation Period & Bond: Candidates after completion of training will be posted as PO in the Pay Scale of Rs.14500 to 25700 with other benefits. From the date of joining, they will be put on probation for a period of 02 years and they have to execute a Financial Service Bond of Rs.200000 for serving the bank at least for 5 years.

Application Fees: Rs.50 for SC/ST/PC and Rs.500 for all other candidates. Fees can be paid in cash at any Branch of Indian Overseas Bank.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may apply online for the post of Probationary Officer through the bank website www.iob.in from 10/07/2013 to 29/07/2013. Before filling up online application, they will have to deposit appropriate application fees to the designated bank and get payment details. After successfully submission of application candidates need to take a print out of system generated slip which will be use at the time of interview.
