Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, an autonomous
body, is going to conduct 4th Common
Written Examination for the recruitment to the post of Probationary Officer
(PO) / Management Trainee (MT) in various public sector banks on various dates
in the month of Oct & Nov 2014. This test will be conducted online at various
centrs in all over the country. Aspirants who have applied and preparing for this
may go through the exam pattern which is being described below. IBPS reserves
the right to modify the structure of examination when it is need and
information in this context will be available on its official website.
Date of Online Exam: 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th Oct & 1st and 2nd Nov 2014
CWE PO/MT-III (ONLINE): Online test will be Objective Type of
200 marks. Duration of test will be of 2 Hours. The test will be available in both
language; English and Hindi except the test for English Language. Let’s have an

Negative Marking: 0.25 Marks will be deducted for each wrong
answer. So, Candidates should be careful while answering the questions. If the
question is left blank, there will be no penalty for that question.
Scores & Cut-off: The total obtained marks in different sessions
of CWE will be normalized through equipercentile method. Each candidate is
required to obtain minimum qualifying score in each test to be considered for
shortlist for interview. Cut-off will be decided on the number of vacancies available.
Interviews: It will be of 100 marks and will be conducted by
participating organization coordinated by Nodal Bank with the help of IBPS. Only those candidates will be called for this interview
who successfully qualified in CWE with satisfying score. Minimum qualifying
marks in the interview is 35% for SC/ST/OBC and PWD and not less than 40% for
all other candidates.
