Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), based in New Delhi, has given a notification for the recruitment to the post of Operator-Cum-Technician Trainee (OCTT), Attendant-Cum-Technician Trainee (ACTT), and Medical Service Provider Trainee (MSPT) in various Disciplines for SAIL Durgapur Plant. 01. Operator-Cum-Technician (Trainee) in Various Disciplines
  • Vacancy: 154 Posts (UR-74, SC-36, ST-07, OBC-37)
  • Pay Scale: Rs.16800-24110 & (S-3)
  • Qualifications: Matriculation with engineering diploma of 03 years in relevant disciplines. 
02. Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) in various Trades
  • Vacancy: 104 Posts (UR-53, SC-23, ST-06, OBC-22)
  • Pay Scale: Rs.15830-22150 & (S-1)
  • Qualifications: Matriculation with full time ITI in relevant trades from Govt. Recognized Institute.
03. Medical Service Provider (Trainee) in various Disciplines
  • Vacancy: 09 Posts (UR-06, SC-02, OBC-01)
  • Pay Scale: Rs.16800-24110 & (S-3)
  • Qualifications: Degree in Paramedical Technology / Pharmacy / Dietetics / Food & Nutrition with one year post qualifications experience in Hospital / Nursing Home. Must go through the detailed notification to know in detain about required qualifications. 

 Age Limit: Upper age limit for the post is 28 years as on 01/08/2014. Relaxation in upper age limit for SC / ST is 5 years, for OBC is 3 years and for PWD is 10 years.

 Physical Standard: Height: 155 cms for Male & 143 cms for Female. Weight: 45 Kgs for Male & 35 Kgs for Female. Chest: 75 to 79 cms for Male and 70 to 73 cms for Female. Eye Sight: Distant vision-6/9 both eyes with or without glass, near vision-J1 or N6 both eyes. Colour vision should be normal.

Selection Process: Selection of eligible candidates for the mentioned posts will be done on the basis of Written Test and Interview. Only short listed candidates after written examination will be called for Interview. Selected candidates for the job will be sent for training for a minimum duration of 2 years. After successfully completion this training period, they will be regularized and placed in S-3, S-3 and S-1 respectively and will be put on probation for a period of one year.

Application Fee: Rs.250 for UR/OBC in case of applying for OCT and MSP post and Rs.150 for UR/OBC in case of applying for ACT. Rs.50 for Departmental Candidates. There is no application fee for SC / ST / PWD candidates. Payment of fee can be made using Pay-in-Slip at any SBI Bank Branch. Pay-in-Slip will be downloaded after online registration.
