Union Bank of India (UBI) has invited ONLINE applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Probationary Officer (PO) from 30/12/2011 to 14/01/2012. Only those candidates are eligible for the post of Probationary Officer who have a valid Score Card issued by IBPS. Total Vacancy: 2473 Posts
SC – 268, ST – 201, OBC – 663, UR - 1241
Age Limit: 21 to 30 years as on 01/07/2011
Age Relaxations: Candidates who belong to SC / ST Category will be relaxed in age upto 5 years and those who belong to OBC Category will be relaxed upto 3 years
Educational Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree with 55% Marks (55% for Reserved Category) from UGC / AICTE Recognized University Preferably with Diploma Certificate in Banking and Finance from Indian Institute of Banking and Finance
  2. Candidates, applying for the post of Probationary Officer, should hold a valid score card issued by IBPS
  3. They must have knowledge of Computer with certificate of at least 60 hours from a reputed computer training institute
Selection Procedure: Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis marks in score card issued by IBPS and then personal interview which will be conducted by Union Bank of India (UBI). Personal Interview will be of 50 Marks, out of which candidates will have to secure 50% Marks for UR Category and 45% Marks for Reserved Category 
Probation Period: Candidates who are selected for the post of Probationary Officer (PO) will be on the Probation Period of 24 Months from the date of Joining.
Service Bond: Selected candidates will have to execute a Service Bond for a period of 3 years
Application Fees: Candidates belong to UR and OBC Category will have to pay of Rs.200 and Rs.50 for all others Candidates

  1. Eligible candidates having required qualifications for the post of Probationary Officer (PO) may apply online from 30/12/2011 to 14/01/2012 through the website www.unionbankofindia.co.in. For applying online, candidates should have a valid email ID
  2. Candidates required to log on to www.unionbankofindia.co.in, Go to “Career” Page then “Recruitment” Page, Download Full Advertisement, Take a copy of Challan Form, Pay application fees to the designated bank, get candidates’ copy with Journal Number and other details
  3. Re-visit www.unionbankofindia.co.in, Go to “Career” Page then “Recruitment” Page Click on “Apply Online” Fill up online application format with proper details as well as challan details and submit
  4. After Successfully submission of online application, candidate need note down Registration Number and Password and take two copies of application print out for producing at the time of interview if they are invited for the interview.
