1. Sub Inspector (Security)

Ø      Number of Posts: 173 (Thirumayam – 29, Tiruchirappalli- 144)

Ø      Scale of Pay: Rs.17000-23000

Ø      Age Limit: 32 years as on 1^st November, 2011

Ø      Qualifications: Graduate degree with 3 years Job experience in Defence Force / Army / PSU / Police

2. Sub Inspector (Fire)

Ø      Number of Posts: 63 (Thirumayam – 07, Tiruchirappalli- 45)

Ø      Scale of Pay: Rs.11700-23000

Ø      Age Limit: 32 years as on 1^st November, 2011

Ø      Qualifications: Full Time Graduate Degree with Fire Fighting Force Experience of CPO / PSU / SFS

Total Vacancies: 236 Posts (SC – 44, ST – 02, UR – 127, OBC – 63, EXS – 34)

Age Relaxations: Five years for SC / ST Candidates and Three years for OBC Candidates

Physical Standard:

·        Eye Sight: 6/6 and 6/9

·        Height: Sub Inspector (Fire) - 165 cms, (Securiy) – 168

·        Chest: 79 to 84 CMS

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

• RUN – 400 Mtrs in 80 Seconds
• High Jump: 1.2 Meters
• Log Jump: 3.65 Meters

Selection Procedure:

Selection for Post of Sub Inspector in BHEL will be made on basis of Written Test, PET and Interview
